A route will be selected to suit the weather on the day but it will be a combination of moorland tracks and traffic-controlled roads and very pleasant valley walking around the Goyt Valley/Axe Edge areas. It will be tailored to avoid areas encountered during the May Day weekend walks.

We start in the village and walk through open fields towards Butlers Marston where we take a break at the church. Onwards through fields and streams, crossing a long disused railway line we reach the historic estate village of Combrook and an area of mixed woodland known as The Rides. After stopping for lunch overlooking the lake and house at Compton Verney, we return to Kineton through fields and some road walking.
