Kinver and Cookley

Meet for a 10am start, at the car park on Compton Road, Kinver, by the National Trust Holy Austin Rock Houses, Staffs DY7 6DL. Or meet to share lifts from St Godwalds Rd, Bromsgrove B60 3BN leaving at 9.05am.

An interesting and practically mudless walk along Kinver Edge, through Kingsford Forest Park to Cookly, with a coffee break (in a cave if you'd like) at locks on the Staffs Worcs canal. We switch to the nearby River Stour, visiting the fascinatuing sandstone village of Wolverly, where lunch will be taken oposite the Queens Head and adjacent cafe. Footpaths and bridleways take us back to Kingsford ForestPark and further on past Nanny's Rock caves, to our cars. Some slopes at Kinver Edge.
