About the Event
Start 10.30 from Hidcote Manor Gardens car park (go to section at left side - not right - at top of entrance road). GL55 6LR. Map ref: SP177 431. w3w ///banter.workroom.spending
An undulating walk with a few steep climbs (one of them over the highest point in Warwickshire) around one of the less visited and most beautiful parts of the Cotswolds. It will follow a broadly triangular route formed by Hidcote Manor (of NT garden fame) and the quintessential Cotswold villages of Ilmington and Ebrington (whether to be taken clockwise or not is yet to be decided). There are fine views to faraway horizons at many points around the circuit, as well as remote glades, small wooded valleys and the odd isolated mansion.
Nearby Mickleton provides options for post-walk refreshments
Meet at St Godwalds Rd, Bromsgrove B60 3BN to lift share, leaving at 9.30am
