It turned out to be a fantastic day and we struck lucky with the weather as it rained on the journey to and from yet blessed us on the hills. A stiff climb from Llanbedr took us up to Table Mountain with views over to Crickhowell...
and behind to Sugar Loaf...
We stopped for a well deserved brew on the edge of Pen Cerrig Crag only to discover the leader had committed the ultimate sin and forgotten to bring cake for sharing! Oops!! Lots of light hearted grief given as a result for the whole day, I suspect this will continue into 2019. The weather clouded over briefly however once it opened up the views stretched beyond the Brecon Beacons and over to the far Black Mountains by Llandovery
Nature's autumn colours displayed themselves in the sunshine making the afternoon truly picturesque on the gentle slope back to the cars. The whole party of 11 then finished the day off in The Bear Inn with a decent pint and a few sticky toffee puddings with gooey caramel sauce to get the calorie intake back up. (I blame the leader for forgetting the cake )
