Sunday 4th November
Little Compton
Easy 8½ miles
A walk over low rolling hills north-west of Chipping Norton with plenty of wide-open vistas. From Little Compton we climb to Chastleton Barrow, an iron-age fort, before descending to the sleepy village of Adlestrop, famous for the much-loved Edward Thomas poem, and then on to Chastleton House (NT), a Jacobean mansion connected to Robert Catesby of Gunpowder Plot infamy. We return over fields and farmland to Little Compton. Likely to be muddy in places. Option to extend walk via Daylesford, depending on weather and number of walkers.

Brewood, South Staffordshire
Easy 9 miles
Mainly open fields with nice clear views of Chillington Hall and Belvide Reservoir. Canal walking at end. Hopefully tea room in village at end or pub by canal.

Ledbury - Eastnor
Easy/Moderate 8 miles
A short walk adapted from this year's Herefordshire Walking Festival Walk 40: Paths and Poems in Frith Wood. I have subsequently found that we had a remarkably similar walk in November 2105. For those members, like myself, who were not able to be on Helen's 2015 walk, this is an opportunity to follow in her footsteps and enjoy the picturesque market town, its lovely countryside and the views to the Malvern Hills as we make our way out over the ridgeway and on through Eastnor village.

Exhall
Easy 9 miles (a few short climbs)
From Exhall over the fields to Arden’s Grafton then via the Nature Reserve to Oversley Wood and on to Alcester where we shall have time to view some of the quaint streets and 16th and 17th century houses. Return to Exhall via good paths and tracks.
